Wordventure: Kids Vocabulary (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a picture vocabulary app for children, published by Lubo Shang. The App works without an account, sign-in or personal details, and it shows no ads. We collect as little information as we can. This policy explains what the App handles and why.
Progress, flashcards and settings. The App keeps your child’s progress, saved flashcards and settings (such as the learning language and meaning language) on the device. If iCloud is on, this data also syncs through your own iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage), so it follows you between iPhone and iPad. We cannot see your iCloud data.
Usage and crash data. To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, we use Google Firebase Analytics (in-app events) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). These tools collect technical information such as device model, operating-system version, app version, general region and in-app events, plus a crash report if the App stops working. Firebase may assign a random app-instance identifier to your installation. We do not use this data to identify any child.
Microphone and speech recognition (Say it). In Say it mode, your child answers out loud. The App uses the microphone and Apple’s speech recognition to check the answer. Depending on the device, the audio is processed on the device or sent to Apple for recognition under Apple’s terms. The App does not record or keep any audio. You can turn off microphone and speech recognition access in iOS Settings at any time, and answers can still be typed.
Spoken words. The App reads words aloud with the voices built into your device. This happens on the device.
Camera and photos. On supported devices (iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence), a child can take or choose a photo to make a photo scene. The photo is analyzed on the device and saved in the App’s local storage. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else. The App asks for camera or photo access only when this feature is used.
Subscription status. Wordventure Premium is bought and managed through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles all payment details, and we never see them. The App receives only your subscription status from Apple so it can unlock Premium levels.
We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location or any other contact details.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Wordventure is made for children, and we take their privacy seriously. The App does not ask children for personal information, has no ads, and gives children no way to share personal information publicly or to talk with other users. The usage and crash data described above is used in aggregate to run and improve the App, not to identify or profile any child. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children’s use of the App and to read this policy.
The App uses a small number of service providers:
Progress, flashcards, settings and photo scenes stay on your device (and progress, flashcards and settings in your iCloud, if it is on) until you delete them. Usage and crash data is kept by our service providers for a limited time under their standard retention policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The current version is always at this address.
